The Executive

Hello everyone, my name is Adam Da Ponte. I have proudly served with Peel Regional Police for 19 years, gaining experience across a variety of areas within the service.

I have also been a dedicated member of the Region of Halton Dart League for approximately 18 years. After serving two years as Vice President, I am currently in my third term as President. It has been an honour to contribute to and help guide a league that means so much to our community.

Outside of work and darts, I am the proud father of two amazing children, Corson and Teagan and I am grateful for the unwavering support of my amazing girlfriend, Maddie.

Hello everyone, my name is Ed Lovelock. I currently serve as Vice President and previously had the privilege of serving as President of the Region of Halton Dart League. I’ve been a proud member of the league since 2000 and truly enjoy the social aspect of the game, especially the opportunity to meet new people and build friendships within our community.
Outside of the league, I’m the owner and operator of Briskit BBQ in downtown Georgetown, and I’m proud to support the league as one of its sponsors. It’s been great being part of such a fantastic group over the years.

I truly enjoy working alongside our executive team and being part of a group that’s committed to growing and strengthening our league. Collaboration and communication are important to me, and I take pride in supporting the team both on and off the board. I’ve always loved playing darts, the competition, the camaraderie, and the friendships that come with it. And yes, I genuinely enjoy being “the money guy.” Managing the financial side of things allows me to contribute in a meaningful way, ensuring transparency, organization, and stability for our league.

At the end of the day, I’m passionate about what we’re building together and proud to play a role in keeping it running smoothly.

I’ve proudly called Georgetown home for many years, though I grew up in the Newmarket area. After studying Communications at Brock University, I built my career with Loblaw, where I now work in the Foodservice division sourcing restaurant-quality products for operators and owners. I’m a proud father of three girls, an avid dart player, and a big fan of spinning records in my basement. I love cooking and hosting dinners and BBQs for family and friends. I’ve also served as Secretary of the RHDL for nearly two years and am proud to be involved with the league.

My name is Dwayne Standing and I am the Statistician on the RHDL Executive. I joined the dart league in 2017 and started my time on the Executive Committee as Statistician for the 2018-2019 season. I am a proud father of three grown children and proud grandfather of two grandchildren. My favourite hobbies are darts (of course!) and reading books.
